Features of Raw Material
Desulfurization
Calcium aluminate refining slag can react with sulfur in molten steel, reducing the sulfur content to below 0.008%, reducing the hot brittleness of steel.
Deoxidation
Calcium aluminate refining slag has a strong affinity for oxygen. It can be deeply deoxidized during steelmaking to reduce the oxygen content to below 0.0015%, avoiding oxygen impurities from causing steel performance defects and improving the purity of molten steel.
Rapid melting
Calcium aluminate refining slag has a melting point of 1150℃ - 1250℃. It can melt quickly and quickly blend into molten steel in the high temperature environment of argon blowing in the ladle and steel tapping in the electric furnace.
Adsorption of impurities
The molten calcium aluminate refining slag can effectively adsorb 5μm - 40μm impurity particles in molten steel and purify the molten steel.


Low-alumina calcium aluminate slag: This type is used when a minimal alumina content is desired in the final product. It is especially beneficial for producing high-purity steels.
High-aggregate calcium aluminate slag: Known for its robust properties, this variety is typically applied in heavy-duty metallurgical processes.
